The computerization project Reduction of cardiovascular risk convened by the Pan American Health Organization and implemented in Matanzas by the Software Development Company Desoft allows the control of hypertensive patients. This project has had good results and in that the health promoters have been of vital importance.
In the community near the Carlos Verdugo polyclinic in the city of Matanzas, where Dr. Edelys Pons is the coordinator of the Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Project, she works with health promoters to modify the lifestyles of hypertensive patients.

From an early age they teach children the benefits of eating healthy and they are in charge of transmitting that message to their families. In the children's circle Small builders the formation of values includes the teaching of healthy lifestyles, in the feeding processes they recommend children to eat vegetables, fruits and low-salt foods.
Students of primary and secondary education who organize activities such as the contest of the healthiest dish or in the circles of interest where they know how to lead a healthy life are added.



The experience is transmitted from generation to generation. In this the grandparents are important, who give their advice on natural and traditional medicine and on the importance of performing physical exercises for good health.
"Everyone who performs the exercises in this circle does not suffer from hypertension or other diseases. We use natural and traditional medicine such as chamomile, linden, aloe vera which are very beneficial for the treatment of diseases, said Ofelia Martínez García, President of Palmar de Junco Circle.
This extension of the computer project implemented by the Software Development Company Desoft arises due to the importance of arterial hypertension, the silent killer, which when associated with other diseases causes greater damage, and the need for the modification of the styles of Life in these patients.
